I am with a few other people, mostly other males, and one girl, who I apparently am fond of. I am quiet, so she does not have much interest in me. We all go home, and I am the last to be dropped off by her. The way she is talking makes me aware that I will not have a chance with her. I have little hope. I give up, telling myself I will settle for someone else, using a friend as some sort of confused rebound, talking with him and trying to make myself feel better. I become female, somewhere along the line. I rollerskate with my friend and reminisce. We go to the shop next to the skate park. END.
